New service offered by Air Berlin

Check-in and seat reservations now also available by mobile

From now on passengers travelling with Air Berlin can also check in for their flight or reserve a seat while out and about. The MMS check-in facility means that travellers can opt to have their boarding pass sent directly to their mobile. The MMS contains a bar code that is scanned in from the mobile phone at the gate, together with all the important passenger information, such as name and flight number.

Passengers can also reserve their seat by mobile phone. Those who selected the option of SMS seat reservation will receive a text message on the date before their departure, asking them whether they would like to book a seat in advance. The individual seat preference, whether aisle or window, can be specified when booking the flight.
